Mark Boutros – Ghostwriter

I completed a Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia in 2012 and I have written for radio, TV, online, and advertising. I have developed stories with some of the UK's leading TV production companies, and have worked for Sky Arts, Sky One, the BBC, the Cartoon Network, Channel 4 and Disney XD. In 2016 I won the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, and was a finalist in 2017. I am in discussions with Netflix about a project of mine.

A one-off I co-wrote about Muhammad Ali called The Greatest Of All Time was broadcast on Sky Arts in early 2017 as part of the Urban Myths season. It was an adaptation of a true story when he tried to talk a suicidal man down from a 9th floor ledge and was nominated for an International Emmy for Best Drama.

As well as winning the PAGE awards, I reached the last ten in the Write to Green Light competition, held by Lionsgate and Green Door productions for a one hour drama and have been shortlisted for many other contests.

I have edited for Radish fiction, a platform where stories are serialised. I edited on varying genres including fantasy, sci-fi, erotica, romance, and thriller. I have also storylined for an international best-selling indie author.

I have also given masterclasses at UEA, the National Film and Television School, Cambridge, the Central School of Speech and Drama, NYU London and the London Film school, where I also teach. I occasionally work as a TV producer on some of the UK's biggest panel shows, and have consulted tech companies such as Google on how they can create empathy in A.I.

I live with my wife in London and enjoy going for walks because my legs decided running was a bad idea a few years ago. As well as fantasy I love crime novels and self-help books as well.
